Why I am not an Accountant
I can not tell you how much I detest doing the Accounting on behalf of our business. We typically have an contract person come in to do the work, but this year they flaked and I frankly don’t trust anyone at this late date to come in seeing as the contractor had done them in years past. So, I strapped on my handy dandy visor this morning starting at 4:30 a.m. and started keying in all of our account information. My 10 key fingers are throbbing, my heads hurts from determining debits & credits and don’t even get me started on COGS. Its enough to make me quit the profession if it was EVEN what I did as a profession. Quickbooks - thank you for your assistance - it is appreciated. Otherwise, I would have considered just hiding out and hoping the IRS didn’t remember that we existed. I’m up to date and only need to enter in some cash receipts and then its all off to our CPA for tax filing. And, lets hope that he doesn’t have any questions about how things were done - I’ll have to defer to a mysterious gnome working diligently through the night to help us out. Now, back to some fun!
